Hi all, thanks for checking out my blog!

My name is Jamie and I try to live each day enjoying life and making smart decisions to support a healthy lifestyle.  I love the feeling at the end of a day where I have eaten right, take all my vitamins and gotten in some exercise.  I feel better about myself both physically and mentally.

This is a passionate subject for me and that is why I have decided to blog about it.  I figured I could share some things with anyone who wants to read about healthy living and it would help to motive me to do even more!  So in other words the next time I am tempted by the doughnuts or bagels brought in by a co-worker, I will think about this blog and just walk on by!

I know a healthy lifestyle is not an easy one to follow.  There is a fast food restaurant at every corner and it is so easy to grab a quick snack of processed food.  I get it and this is a big reason why America is fat!  But people and companies are starting to take notice and  so healthier foods options are becoming more available, some restaurants are including calories right on their menu, there are a constant stream articles out there about what foods you should and should not eat and tons of 5k walks/runs to sign up for to get you moving.  It is all about the CHOICES THAT YOU MAKE!  Hopefully I can help to motivate you to think about yourself more and to take the best care of your body that you can – it is the only one that you get!

So just have an open mind and think about your lifestyle.  If you try to restrict yourself too much, you are setting yourself up to fail.  Just making a few tweaks here or there can really help and and give you cause to make some more!

I will be posting recipes, workout tips, helpful article links and just about anything I can think of that help you on your healthy journey.
